Gerry Marsden dies at 78

Gerry Marsden has died of a heart infection at the age of 78. The British singer became famous as the front man of Gerry and the Pacemakers: best known for their version of You’ll Never Walk Alone. His family said he died on Sunday after a short illness not linked to Covid-1. ,,We will never forget him, because with Marsden you never walked alone. He was always there!”

Gerry and the Pacemakers was founded in 1959, had some hits in the 60s but became famous with You’ll Never Walk Alone in 1963.
