WOODSTOCK 50 RESCUED WITH NEW LOCATION?
With only three weeks to go, Woodstock 50 has found a new location in Columbia, MD. The Merriweather Post Pavilion will host about 32,000 people, according to Bloomberg.
After the original location, the race track of Watkins Glen, NY, pulled out in June, organizers put their hopes in horseracing track Vernon Downs in Vernon, NY, only to see their permits denied in early July.
The festival announced its mega line-up in March, with Robert Plant, Santana, The Killers and Dead & Company among the headliners. Whether those artists will actually play remains to be seen.
Woodstock 50 is aiming to sell one day tickets for prices ranging from $129 to $595. Tickets are not yet on sale.
